Get to Know about the Magnetic Materials

With limited applicability like simple magnets or refrigerator magnets to hold papers when attached to a metal surface, most people recognize magnets as materials or toys.

What many people do not know is that in fact in many areas of our lives like security devices, medical services, transportation, Magnetic Filter Rod, magnetic materials, and even nowadays communications, magnetic materials have a wide range of applications.
They are used in jewelry where the development of magnetic earrings and bracelets has change the way people conceive magnetism.

Magnetic Filter Rod

Speakers

A wire carrying an alternate current is present in the speakers. It experiences a force that generates sound waves by rarefaction and compression of the air surrounding the device when the wire is located in the magnetic field of a circular permanent magnet. Reproducing the sound generated at the source, this vibrates a cone shaped diaphragm.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

For the diagnosis of different diseases like cancer, MRI is a technique widely use nowadays in medicine. Its main use depends on the construction of images of internal organs of the body to diagnose and find the disease, avoiding the use of surgery.

In the presence of Magnetic Chuck and a high magnetic field, MRI uses the properties of water to produce an anatomical image of specific areas of the body because the body is composed of mainly water molecules, being especially useful for the imaging the heart, muscles and the brain.

Motor arc Magnets

To make hydrogen atoms in water molecules resonate at a given frequency In a MRI device a magnetic field is used and then changing the energy state of the spins, a radiofrequency pulse is applied.

Due to the relaxing of the spins, electromagnetic signals are emitted When the radiofrequency pulse stops; an image is formed taking advantage of tissue contrast and this is detected by the instrument.

Other uses of magnetic devices like Motor arc Magnets include debit and credit cards, electric guitars, televisions, toys and electric motors and represent an essential factor in the development of new technologies for various purposes around the world.
